Who We Are
Ava Finance is a US-based loan connection service. We are not a lender. What we operate is simpler: one secure request form, a network of independent lenders who fund personal loans from $500 to $5,000, and a library of plain-English education built so that every request that reaches that network is an informed one. Since our founding, more than 45,000 Americans have used Ava Finance to connect with a lender, and the 4.7-star average across 3,090 customer ratings on our review page is the measure we watch most closely — because a connection service is only as good as what happens after the connection.
What We Believe
Three convictions shape every page on this site. First, borrowing is a tool, not a lifestyle — the right personal loan solves a defined problem on a defined timeline, and our guides say plainly when borrowing is the wrong answer. Second, informed borrowers get better outcomes — which is why the calculator, the glossary, the rate guide, and fifteen in-depth blog guides sit beside the request form rather than behind it. Third, clarity is a duty in this industry — our Advertiser & Lending Disclosure explains exactly how we make money, and our footer repeats the essentials on every page.
How Ava Finance Works
The short version: you complete one request form describing what you need; we transmit it securely to lenders in our network whose criteria it may fit; interested lenders respond with actual offers; you review terms directly with the lender and decide. The request is free, uses a soft credit inquiry at the network stage, and carries no obligation at any point. The long version — timelines, verification, funding — lives on the How It Works page.
What We Are Not
We are not a lender, so we do not make credit decisions, set rates, or fund loans. We are not a payment processor and never touch repayment. We do not charge borrowers for the connection. And we are not a guarantee: submitting a request does not ensure an offer, and every quoted figure on this site is a representative estimate until a lender puts your terms in writing. Where our content can be generous, it is; where the honest answer is “it depends on the lender,” we say that instead.
Editorial Standards
Every guide on Ava Finance is written to the same standard: specific numbers over vague reassurance, worked examples over adjectives, and a stated willingness to talk readers out of borrowing when the math points elsewhere. Our review pages include critical reviews. Our comparison pages carry no paid placements and no outbound referral buttons. When the industry has a sharp edge — deferred interest, rollover structures, tribal lending frameworks — we name it and explain it rather than routing around it.
